New Homes Just as Energy Efficient Despite Being Larger

A recent survey by the U.S. Energy Information Administration says homes built after the year 2000 use about the same amount of energy as those built before the year 2000 despite being an average of 30 percent larger, and stricter building energy codes are part of the reason.
